Patterns can be provided as PDF documents or a large format printout

Printable PDF documents are included in the pattern price.

Large format printouts are priced at £5 per metre plus postage.

EXPLAINATION OF PATTERN GRADING PRICES

The cost of grading patterns varies depending on a number of things.

1 The number of pieces in a pattern

2 Whether the garment is fitted or loose fitting

3 The complexity of the design, that is how unusual the cut of the garment is.

On average we charge between £5-10 per pattern piece per grade.

How to decide on sizes.

Womans garments in the uk can be graded in a number of ways

1 From a size 4 to a size 22

2 From small, medium, large, extra large ect.

These sizes all correlate with a sizing chart that is provided by the pattern maker.

Number 1, sizing from 4 to 22 is more costly as it would need 10 grades.

Number 2, the sizes have a wider range and therefore less grading would be needed making this more cost effective. For example a small size would range from size 4-8

However this sort of grading is only possible if the clothes are made in a stretch fabric or loose fitting.
