Class dates

• April Saturday 23rd & Saturday 30th 12- 4pm
• May Saturday 14th & Saturday 21st 12-4pm
• June Saturday 25th and Saturday July 2nd 12-4pm

Price

£75 for two sessions.

This class is ideal for anyone who would love to make something that actually fits. Most commercial patterns are made to standard measurements, and because most people are not standard, getting your sewing projects to fit well can be hit and miss.

Making a dress block

You will be shown how to make a dress block based on your own body measurements and transfer it onto manila card. You will then be shown how to use this block to create a dress style of your own choice. (please note we will not cover sleeves in this class)

Cutting

You will use you patterns to cut your pattern out and mark darts and notches on your chosen fabric

Sewing your dress

You will be given advice on how to sew you dress to acheive the a neat and professional finish. This will include creating darts, inserting zips, lining or facing your dress and finishing the hem. If you dont have time to finish your dress and don’t feel confident to finish it off yourself you can join our sewing club which runs on a wednesday evening.
